Good luck Lana, we work from home so our 3 dogs have company all the time. Not fun for any dog to spend long periods of time alone, maybe he/she needs another canine companion? 
Just a little tip - as when I have to leave my dogs I always leave the radio or tv on, so the house is not quiet but dogs seem to find it soothing hearing voices 
You do not say where you live in Mauritius - so that possible dog walkers can see if you live near them.
