faculty in medical school

hi!!!
I hv been offered a position of teaching faculty in a medical school in shah alam,selangor with a monthly salary of 15000 RM.Plz let me know if this salary is OK for a person with 7 yrs teaching exp?? I hv a family of four(wife dentist,presently not working, kids ,8  and one yr old. I am planning to send my kid to International school.Please let me know if this salary is sufficient for comfortable living with some saving as well??

Pun_pint - I trust you have verified the vacancy and attended an in-person interview because there are quite a few job scams around at the moment in universities and international schools.

To work out any savings here are the tax steps (the tax is 25% flat rate for the first 6 months) then stepped based on the total annual salary i.e. a different % at each band of salary earned. It easiest to work out annual tax and then divide by 12 to get monthly tax.

20,001-35,000    5%  +RM750
35,001-50,000   10%  +RM1,500
50,001-70,000   16% +RM3,200

100,001-250,000  24% +RM36,000
250,001-400,000  24.5% +RM36,750
Exceeding 400 000  25%  (+?)

School fees depend on age/class level as well as the status of the school in terms of performance, etc.
