you got me excited there, but its only clips, not the iplayer available in the UK :-(

Toon

not even sure if bbc iplayer global is actually on release yet - or is it......

georgeingozo

whats what got me excited

GHouston

if you want iplayer available in the UK just download expat shield and you can log onto the normal UK iplayer and activate expat shield whenever you want to use something that requires a UK IP address, it's very straight forward to use :)

I found expatshield very heavy on the cpu, but not tried it for a year or so

georgeingozo

giving it another try :-)

Toon

still full of adverts maybe?

GuestPoster566

If on a visit to UK you download the usual iPlayer software then one can watch the UK output abroad, according to the BBC.
The clips viewed on this global site are 'advertising' if you like. One has to download the iTune app to watch what is available.
I know there are many other ways of watching UK progs, I just thought some may want to know of this also.

Toon

They are usually blocked by IP address not being UK based ones and thus you may need a vpn server service to view which fool the broadcast into thinking your are in the UK and thus allows viewing!!!!

Toon

when i said advertising i meant pop ups and massive cpu load....

georgeingozo

Ah, that's download the tv programme not iplayer

GuestPoster566

Ah! How embarrassing! I totally misread that.
Deleted, now crawls away to hide.
