Moving with family to HCMC in March 2012

Hi all,

I am a family man with a wife & a 3.5-year old daughter. We are planning to move to HCMC next March for the experience of living & working overseas. When I arrive I will look for a job, most likely as an English teacher while my wife will remain as a home-maker.
It would be great to get to know some expats also living in HCMC.

Should be pretty warm, by then.

Don't do much about accommodation (apartment) until you arrive. Camp in a modest hotel whilst you scout the options. Many rooms have double+single options.

Thanks so much for the welcome & advice. We will probably be staying in a modestly-priced hotel for a week or so until we find suitable accommodation that is within our budget.

Have many taxies scam in HCM city. You should take the brand taxi in HCM such: Mai Linh taxi, VinaSun Taxi, Vinataxi.
If you have a plan living long time in VN, you should find an apartment. HAve many choice with many prices on some website home for rent in VN.
