How long will they keep my ID Card ?

Hi

Weird question...

I moved to the island in April and got all the ID stuff sorted out.I received the letter with my ID number and all I had to do was pick it up from the Valletta office.However I had to come back to the UK and its only just looking through stuff that I found the pick up letter.

Will the card still be available to be picked up ?

Probably still there, but will expire end March anyway

i guess you will have to apply for the new one as the old one will expire 31st march 2013

Hi Sunshine,

from what I remember the card is not waiting for pick-up but they used to take new pictures and make the ID card on the spot !

After leaving the island for that you can't really say that you were resident anyway!

No ID cards are being issued to foreigners anymore as they are being replaced by the new e-residence document. The old ones are becoming invalid .
