Hi we have found two little friends (mice) in our house. Do you know what the rules are on trapping the little buggers? Thanks

ricky

Hi Naz,

the hunting and trapping season just finished on Januar 31 st !

Now you will have to wait and see if Malta gets a derogation for Spring hunting and if mice are included.

Cheers

Thanks Ricky. Are we able to buy traps ourselfs?
And if so are you able to relise them back into fields or do
you kill them? Thanks

lambada

The traps which we use here kill the mice so you just wrap them in a newspaper and throw them in the garbage can. You can use special glue on a piece of cardboard instead of a conventional trap but you still wouldn't be able to set the mice free after capturing them. You can buy the traps / glue from an ironmongery store.

Make sure you handle any mice with great care as they are known to carry diseases. Use gloves if possible.

Thanks so much that's great! Let's hope we catch the buggers

Hi Naz,

how about a cat ? That is a safe, efficient and natural way of dealing with them .

They can be used all year round.

Cheers
