Dealing with the summer heat

Post new topic

kimber_rere

Hey everyone!

I will most likely be in Kuwait for an internship this summer, and am wondering how you all deal with the hot temperatures (e.g. clothing, air conditioning, etc.).

Any good tips on what to pack and what to expect?!

Hi kimber_rere...Cotton T-shirts will do you fine, AC in Kuwait are everywhere really :)

keep an umbrella with you,and a bottle of water also not to for get a small moisturizing lotion as the wind in summer is hot and very dry.
this is most recommended if you plan to be outdoors mostly.

Thanks!

What is the cultural context for a woman wearing shorts (modest length) and/or capris?

Just try to keep your knees and shoulders covered, that's it.

Hey Kimber.. not sure what your 'cold threshold' is - but I would recommend you have a light jersey or something for the INDOORS whenever you visit anywhere, from a restaurant to any of the local malls. To compensate for the heat outside, they chill the indoors way too cold and you'd find you are more uncomfortable inside with the cold, not to mention the two extremes can make you sick as well until you adjust.

Good luck!

Thanks for the advice!!
