Hi,

Can you get fresh milk (i.e. dairy cow milk that is refrigirated) in Cabarete/the DR?

Whole milk yes both Janets and Playero have it as well as la Sirena in Puerto Plata. Otherwise mikd is boxed and irradiated.
The longer I live here the more i get used to it. You can also get whole cream in the refrigerated section of the stores.

thanks Bob...wow...we just spent Nov in Cabarete but dont remember seeing it...is it in like a 1litre/2litre paper carton or is it in a glass jugs? and just whole milk? no skim or 2%?

Whole milk is in 1 qt cartons in the frig section. The 1% and 2% is in the boxes on the shelf and are the irradiated varity, so lasts for months.
