Entering by tourist visa

Post new topic

Ram2000

Dear friends,

I have a question:iam out of Bahrain, my employment visa is done already but what would happen if i will get tourist visa in Bahrain airoport? Its can affect anyhow employment visa or i can stay as a tourist and then re-enter as a employee?

You can get a tourist visa at the airport when you fly back in to Bahrain. It only lasts for a week or two though and then if you don't fly back out and back in to renew it you will be in serious trouble. You will be illegal in Bahrain and when you do get a job you will more than likely get sent home when they tried to process your work visa or put in prison. Not good choices. best to stay out of Bahrain until you do have a job. Look through the Gulf daily news and advertise your CV on the jobs section of this forum too. Do not post on the forum asking for a job as your post will be removed.Good luck

U didnt get my point , my employment visa ready. During waiting when my employer send me ticket i wanna travel there as a tourist.
My employer will not know that im in Bahrain.

So its is possible? Or aeroport will refuse to give me tourist visa cose LMRA visa is issued already?

Hi, we are having lots of visa issues at the moment so I asked our clearing agent about your situation. Assuming you have a Czech passport you can enter Bahrain on a 2 week visit visa, this can be extended for another 2 weeks maximum. It should not affect your work visa but be prepared to explain yourself if asked. You must also have a valid onward ticket. Good luck, I'm sure you will enjoy your time in Bahrain. Let us know if there is anything we can help you with.

I write down an onward flight but don't actually book it. They only want the flight details on your disembarkation card. Your employer should pay for your flight here as part of your package so if you are already here that could be awkward. Why don't you just speak to your employer, explain the situation and see what they say. There is a good chance they are reading this anyway

What I did with my employer when I came to Bahrain is for them to book my flight a week before the start-date so I can get around a bit before starting to work. It really helps. If you can do it that way, then you don't have to worry about the tourist visa.

Hi Ram2000 and welcome to the forum,

My feeling is nobody really understands what it is exactly that you want to do :D
Maybe you could tell us a little bit more?
What is the motivation of this undercover trip?

With all the information, we might be able to reply more precisely...

Cheers

Olivier
