Moving with my cats to Thailand

I am moving to Thailand in November of this year. I would like to bring my two cats with me, but for the first month or so will be traveling extensively looking for a place to settle in the Phang Nga Bay area. Are there any veterinarians or animal boarding facilities in Bankok where I could board them while I get settled in? I think it would be most practical to bring them as checked baggage, and would probably be cheaper than shipping them over later. Any ideas?

Don't know anything about the local vet situation. But on the shipping I have attempted this before.
Not sure if you have. But when I started I was not aware how specific the airlines are on carriers etc. If you have not already go to your airlines site and go to their per policy. The carriers have to be of a specific type and construction, holes in certain places etc. etc. etc.
