I am retired and living in a small village near Nimes.  I am
curious to find out if anyone else has become suspicious of
PayPal.  I initially thought that PayPal would be a good way
to shop online and to make payments charged to my U.S. issued
Visa card.  Shortly after signing up I began to receive
"Warnings" of unauthorized attempts to access my credit card.
These warnings requested details regarding my card.
Thus far,  there has been no unauthorized activity on my card
but repeated emails to Paypal for further information have
been ignored.  I am beginning to suspect that PayPal is a front
for a scam operation.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Hi macvic40,

I am using also PayPal and didn't got e-mail like this so far. Did you open your acc on PayPal on your own PC/Laptop or within an internet cafe ? If internet Cafe then change your password from a secure computer which belongs to you and has no trojans virus or similar. If you need any further help please let me know.

"These warnings requested details regarding my card."

Usually emails that request info are phishing - the email itself is not from PayPal (or other legitimate source), and should be ignored. If you email PayPal, do it directly, not as a reply to these emails.
