Advise?

Hello everyone,

Denise and me are moving to HCMC in July. I'll be teaching at the Dutch school which appearantly is there.

People we talked to advised us to live in district 2. The school is also located here and I heard the district is more quite than the other districts.

Does anyone advise me otherwise? Is housing cheaper in, say, district 1?

If your school is in District 2 and you want to live in a quiet place. Then District 2 is an ideal choice. The price here is cheaper than the one in Dist 1.

Even if I have to shell out a little more cash to live in District 2, I would still do that. It is still a lot better than dealing with the District 1 traffic on a regular basis.

Hearty welcome to HCMC, Vietnam!
As you mentioned it's better for you to stay in district 2 (An Phu or Thao Dien are). It's convenient for you to travel to your school from home.Also cost of depends on what kind you choose. So many expats living there with family. If you want to live in Q.1, from there you need to travel more than 7 kilometer to reach Q.2.
