Bonjour Cedric,

To start with, The French community top Hanoi's share of expats !
[moderated: no free ads please]

The 'Hanoian' does not speak French, it is the language that the grand fathers knew. But Everyone is eager to know English. Although few speak it. Try your luck with anyone you meet. People are friendly. Facebook is banned in the country, those who can use it do so by proxy, so I doubt many will get to you via Facebook. Good Luck !

Salut Cedric,

Lesley

Well somebody is asleep at the wheel then because literally everyone I know here (Saigon) is on fb. Proxy? We're all just using our regular internet connections (maybe things are different in Hanoi?)...
