Hello all,

I'm Hoda from Canada. I want to know if there are any expats/locals who are in Adma, Lebanon. Please let me know about the area, and especially about safety issues/travel warnings.

I will be posted there for a period of a year(job) and I'm curious to know if this is an offer I should accept. Female, travelling for a job. I heard the area is between the capital and Tripoli, so how safe is it. I understand its in the Western Region and further from the hotspot area and not close to Syria, but what about domestic crisis? Is this area livable? The map doesnt do the area justice but how far is Adma from the the sea? It looks very close.

Any and all feedback is welcome.

Adma is among the safer areas in lebanon, upscale, suburban feel, not too far from shopping, chill, about 7-10min to night scene, apolitical (minimal to no visible politics signs/billboards). recommended if living in lebanon.

it's one of the safest places in the world

Hi Hoda,

Adma is pretty safe and many others area are safer than what ypu would expect after what you see on the media.
I am currently in Australia but have a house in Adma and know many expat living there. Jbeil also is a good option as Adma tends to be more expensive in rates and rental. But this will depend on the location of your work and how close you need to be to Beirut.
