Are the couple both Thai? If so social status will play a big part in what happens.

Generally speaking if its a traditional wedding expect an early start when the groom travels to the brides house, buddhist ceremony there, sin sod giving food and drink etc.

Usually followed by a large evening party, perhaps at a different venue.

Gift wise, Western type wedding gifts are not par for the course, money in an envelope(the one you received the invitation in) with your name on it, IS.

People actually look who gave what!!

Smart dress whether it's in a village or a plush Bangkok hotel.

Do not wear black or at least not a black shirt(funerals only).

Smile a lot, don't get legless and you will have a great time.

Stag night(bucks night?)-depends on the groom-culture etc
