A friend asked me what do you bring to an indian weding (as a present) his indian friend is getting married.any ideas anyone?

u can give any home appliances as a present irrespective of the gender...or else you can give them honey moon package tickets...if their is not much time then you can give them some money....may be 1-5k

i will on september. i allways miss it when im not there. its like living between 2 parents. Israel is my mother and India is my father. one can't feel well if one of them is missing...

the gift totally depends on the state and religious and family status base. if north India some religious accept a red cover with money. some dress. watch,if in south India state of KERALA no need any gift to any class if marriage is in north side of KEARALA your presence is precious than any gift. but in southern KERALA all class  religious people like a gift/cover. But other southern state like Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu a cover is Must. and other part of India need Minimum a cover, as a foreigner friend you can present a gold ring is best choice. very next relative and close friends are presents gold gift. if you give money cover they can count the figures,
so best option a small gold coin if the marriage of a girl,
if boy a watch
