Howdy! I am a world travelling chef. I will be moving to Thailand this coming fall and am currently trying to scan the web for jobs. I am reading stories that the best way to find a job in Thailand is to actually be there, but then I also read it is better if I already have a job lined up in order to get straight on with the application for work permit/ and corresponding visa before I come.
If anyone has some good suggestions for websites that I can try while I am still stateside I would love to buy you a drink when I come!So far I have found this one Thaivisa.com, and thjobsdb.com, oh and a Thai newspaper site that google is having a terrible time at translating for me, lol.
Thanks, Chris.

First do an online check of what major hotel chains there are in Thailand. Email your CV to them. Come over on a tourist visa and visit the hotels talking along a copy of your CV.
Stick to the major tourist areas where the hotels are the busiest.
If you do find a job then you and your employer can start the work permit paperwork.
Good luck.
