I grew up in Kerala india. My family made a living growing, spices, rubber, coconut, rice, coffee etc.
While living in US I missed tropical farming. I got interested in Scuba and visited Belize in 1989,
1990 visited Belize again and took a taxi to go to PG. The driver took  more interest in Beer than actually driving. So I end up driving up and down. I visited the lands dept, bought 25 acres in Golden stream (middle of maya country).
Did several imports of spice plants from Kerala with the help of BAHA. Farm grew to the size of 500 acres, most of it citrus.

Hello, new member here, I am looking to retire and move to San Ignacio, thinking of working part time to keep myself busy, and making new friends along the way. Was wondering if I can work part time and still collect my pension and SSI ? ( social security).

It seems not many people on the forum are responding at present.
You can work in Belize if you have a work permit, but getting one is not easy. You would have to have a special skill that is in demand, or be sought and hired by a Belizean company, or create a business to employ Belizeans. Aside from that, you can't work in Belize. (Not like the US).  If you put your retirement funds into the QRP program in Belize, you can not work at all.
