I have never visited Malta, but from what my brother tells me it is a great place to consider, no language barrier, really friendly people and very cosmopolitan. I maybe 53 years old, but I have no ties in 'Blighty' now and fed up with the way the country is going.  Maybe it is not too late to make a fresh start.  So if anyone can give me any tips, I would appreciate it!

Hi kiwi_rachel & chatty01,

Welcome to the forum!

My advise is to have a look at previous posts coz I am sure you guys will find a lot of useful information and who knows, will clarify your doubts. There are different topic categories such as Cost of Living, Accommodation, Everyday Life, etc...
Those are questions that mostly of the people ask here in the forum.

Hope you can find the info you're looking and best of luck for both!

Cheerio,
Antonio

Hi

As you said you have never been to Malta after look around the forum and if you still think place for you I suggest you visit because as I have said before its either love it or hate place.
Also will you have to work as again this is very different from just being able to enjoy early retirement.

Best of luck

Elise
