Hello
I'm Dr Ahmed; from Iraq. I'm 26 years old, completed my internship successfully in Iraqi hospitals. I'm planning to work in Australia. I searched for that and got what is required from me to get general registration in Australia. Well; in the assessment pathways
I see that my training institution 'Iraq' is not listed in the FAIMER IMED

Did that mean that I do not have the right to try to get general registration in Australia?

I would safely say that your qualifications would not be recognised in Australia.
It seems that qualifications of any type from Asian or Eastern bloc countries are suspect.
There may be some sort of examination that you can undertake to allow you to work in Australia.
Perhaps you could approach hospitals in Australia to assist you.

I don't know about Australia but many Dr's come to the US from other countries and decide not to practice medicine because the don't "want to start over" my Dr is from Iran he came here after finishing his internship in his home country and did an internship & residency here and then took his "Board Exams" and does well. You are young so you would not be "starting over" since you are just starting your career.  If you don't like my country I certainly understand.  Australia is beautiful.
