Hello,

My family and I are considering taking up a job offer in Manama. We have a 1 year old daughter. What is the typical cost of a baby sitter - not a housekeeper - 7 hrs a day monday thru friday?

Hi, welcome to the forum.

A lot depends on if you want your nanny to live in or live out.

Live in is around BD150 - BD200 a month, you provide accommodation, all food, sponsorship, medical insurance etc unless you find one who has a free visa which means you provide accommodation, food and one return flight per year after initial 2 years of employment.

Live out is BD2.5 - 3.5 per hour
