Translation services-customer feedback

Post new topic

THIGV

I need translations from Vietnamese to English for documents like bank statements to include with my application for my wife to emigrate to the US.  The translated documents and accompanying statements need to be in a form that is acceptable to the US government.

I am looking for customer feedback in this area, not really posts that say "use my service."  I wonder about fees of course but also timeliness, apparent accuracy, etc.  Were the companies or individuals professional in the way they treated you as their customer?  Was the bill at the end close to the estimate going in?  I would be particular interested if anyone ever had a translation rejected by a US agency and if so, why.

You possible should start your search on the other end. From which translators/organisations does the embassy/immigration authority accept the translations? Normally you/your wife should have receive a list of accepted translators.

For these types of documents, you need "embassy" to "embassy" recognition.
Best you get your documents translated by the department of Foreign Affairs. If you are overseas, get to the Vietnamese Embassy. After the translation, you will need the Vietnamese Department of Foreign Affairs or the Vietnamese Embassy where you are to verify the translation. They will also affix their official stamp.
While you are at it, get the other documents done as well. Your birth certificate, identity card, house book, police records, marriage certificate.
Good Luck.

If living in HCM city, you can go to foreign affair department for trainslation and legalise the documents before submit it to US General consulate.it will be the fastest way to do.fees should be 160-200k vnd for legalise service per page, translation might be higher.also, any trainslation centre (I saw one at corner of Nguyen du and pasteur - near quan Ngon offer the translation service).any legal organization can do the translation and certify for you as well.it also accepted by the consulate
Good luck
