Thought I had best say hi before delving into the other forums!

We moved to Malta, from the Pyrenees in France, back in Oct 2011 and I think my wife joined the forum, but I never did.

I am ex forces, 22 years RAF and we moved to France a couple of years after I "retired"!  After three happy years there, my wife decided that she wanted to move to Malta as she had lived here as a child.  We came back for a couple of visits / holidays and arranged to move after I was offered a job.  Six weeks later, we arrived!

We now live in Mellieha and I have changed job, but still happy living here.  We still have a house in France and enjoy going back for the peace and quiet!!

Hi martinparker and welcome to the forum!

Nice place Meliieha, lived there for about 3 months before moving to Balzan (due to my wife's professional reasons) and I really enjoyed over there, beautiful place. I felt a bit sorry about the moving, but, it was a bit hard for my wife having to commute everyday from Mellieha to Attard.

Best of luck! ;)

Hi Martinparker, I hope you are enjoying life in Malta. I am Maltese born but have lived in UK for over 35 years, hoping to return for the same reasons you mention..add family to that.
My husband and I are not sure where in Malta we would like to settle as we have different ideas of what we want. Knowing Mellieha I think it would be a place I would enjoy. I would be happy to hear how you are settling in...and any tips for us? thank you
