No, they shouldn't. Keep them in your carry on. If you have the actual prescription you can bring that along, but there shouldn't be a problem.

I came into Quito with a bag full of meds a week ago.  My sister in law likewise.  Hers included pain meds.  No one questioned anything.  All were current RX and fully labeled.  Have a great time.  It is a beautiful city.  The bus system is crowded but very straightforward.

Ecuador is a place where meds dont bother anyone...as long as it is not something that can fall in the category of addictive drugs, they are ok with it...I always travel with a bunch of heart and diabetic meds, set off alarms at airports because have a bullet lodged deep in my abdomen close to spine that can not be removed, have a plate in my leg where another bullet took off a part of the bone...but they just smile and wave me on on seeing the documents provided by the military hospital where these surgeries were done.

Also, you can buy any medicine here without any prescription. You can also buy any quantity you need, no need buy the whole box. They are happy to cut off and sell even a single tablet if you want only one!

I brought meds in a baggie, that I'd attached the original pharmacy label to. Brought on my carry on baggage. Never even looked at.
In Ecuador, they don't get concerned to much unless it's a narcotic. Most of our day to day scrip's we can get re filled at a pharmacy with out any prescription.
But, unlike Sam say's, I needed some antibiotics that were pretty heavy duty, and DID need a prescription from my Dr. Guess that's Ecuador in a nutshell. Every one seems to have different experiences. But, I would not count on being able to get meds with out a Dr.'s prescription. The good news is, you can usually have an office visit in the 10 to 20 dollar range.
