Mechanical, engine rebuilds

Post new topic

This is for anyone who needs major engine work done. Be it for your boat, generator, motorcycle or vehicle.  Taller Alexis in Santiago is the best machine shop and best priced. State of the art equipment and Alexis, whom schooled in the states, speaks English. I've used him for my boat engine and more recently restored my 25 year old 350 Suzuki engine. He's located on 25 de Febrero across from the Scotia Bank. If you can't find parts, he can. If you need parts shipped in, he can get them for you cheaper and easier. No more having to pay high duties and driving to Santo Domingo to pick up your shipment. Check him out, you won't regret it.

Great new thread!  This is good information for all of us. It is hard to find great resources here, so sharing what you know is important.  Thanks!

IF you don't mind, i will highjack this thread and rename it: Useful Referrals.

Happy to help! Education is expensive as they say. I've also done a lot of building here and set up houses with alternet energy equipment. My farm is off the grid but I've always got water, electricity and running fridges and freezers.

Cool,  I've asked to have this thread name changed and to have it made a sticky so it is always near the top!  Once that happens we can all add our recommendations!

Good to know. Thanks for the information.
