Wouldn't that require some form of organisation and cooperation?

not clear yet, or indeed if a card printing machine will be installed in Gozo

Toon

id hazard a guess and say NO

georgeingozo

There is already a system in place for delivering eResidence cards to people in Gozo who have a doctors certificate, so it might happen

Toon

yes but what are the numbers involved and how often do they do that now.... lets keep your fingers crossed

GuestPoster566

Thanks for that. I'll hold on our postal apps then.

eResidency office opened yesterday, at the ID office, St Francis Square, Victoria - it appears even if you applied in Valletta, you will now be able to collect your card in Gozo. Not clear if the office is open for non-EU citizens yet.

Toon

Good news then.

Excerpt:

‘…………“The practical consequences for a non-Maltese EU applicant who is resident on the sister island – Gozo – is a five-hour round trip each and every time he/she is required to personally attend the Department of Citizenship and Expatriate Affairs laden with all manner of official documentation.”……………………..’

Went this morning, to confirm location and operation. Just one other person there being attended to.
I will return with papers etc. tomorrow as we were on another mission this morning. Health centre visit, got my prescription, also registered at hospital and for appointment to see consultant for long term repeat prescriptions. Very nice people we met, doctor was very helpful and informative and I also found out that the main receptionist at the hospital is my downstairs  neighbour! A very good and rewarding morning's expedition.
