Hi there - does anyone know of anything?? it looks like we might have to find a place to live very quickly and hire some furniture till the shipment comes - so that our dog doesn't have to stay in a 'pet hotel' ....

Hi bandmnagy,

Welcome to expat-blog!

Please feel free to post an advert in the Housing in Kuala Lumpur section, this might surely help. :)

Thank you,

David.

Sri Tiara Serviced Residences - very close to Mid Valley mall. It's a regular apartment complex but they will accept any size dog, especially if you talk to them. They have a green space to walk dogs and there's a big sidewalk/hill in front of the place to go for longer walks

Hi gravitas
You seem very knowledgable and helpful. We are planning to move to Malaysia for a long term. Where should we look?  We also have a miniature Dachshund 1 year old. Are the condos pet friendly?

Look for a house rather than a condo.  More strict these days about pets.  You risk being evicted if you do not decare you have a pet and try and smuggle it into the building.  You will end up loosing your 2 1/2 month deposit if you try and deceive.
