Oh the horror

I can't say if they are or not.< a big problem >
I had a friend stay in a long term rental, and they had them.
The mattress's I bought were all " Anti- Bedbug " Don't know if I'm sleeping on some toxic chemicals or not!
Don't know which would be worse either. But I think you can assume they are present.

I googled every which way but couldn't find much at all except for comments about a ratty hostel.

Do you have that BMW yet?  We will be in Cuenca for 2 months starting Oct 9.  Maybe we can get together for a beer and to talk bikes once we get settled in down there.

No BMY yet. I think my buddy will be down in November, and that would be the soonest.
Did you check out the new Indian Chieften yet. Sweet!!!
My first bike was a '47 Chief. I got it when I was 15, so still illegal to drive. The Victory's are nice, just something about that square engine I don't like.

I get ALL the motorcycle magazines and the new Indian bikes are getting good preliminary reviews. I really didn't start riding until about 7 years ago.  My current ride is a 2007 C90.  I'm 6'3" tall and it's one of the few bikes that fit me.  I also saw that the BMW R1200GS just won Motorcyclist magazines bike of the year.  That's the one I'm going to ride from here to Cuenca (in my next life)

They are sweet, and getting very good reviews. I only worry about the service availability on the road if you were to have an issue, like the Victory. They are very proprietary, and if you're in the boonies, it could be a hassle, as the dealership base is pretty limited. But..... what a ride!

Hopefully Indian will stick around for awhile this time. Last 50 or 60 years have not been very kind. Polaris has pretty deep pockets, and is pretty well established. From the look of the new line up that's being rolled out would appear are headed in the right direction. Really the price list is pretty realistic. Not cheap, but for what you're getting think is a pretty decent deal.

Agreed. Polaris will not let this venture fail. They had a rough go with Victory the first couple of years breaking into the market, but toughed it out. The Victory is pretty bullet proof. They are made right down the road from my home in Minneapolis, and I've toured the plant. Pretty state of the art.
And the price point is very realistic for the product you get. Compare to the other American Steel, and they are  in good a position I think.

Bedbugs depends of the area. For example:

If you are in the midst of the forest.
If you are on the coast.
The kind of light that bugs likes.

Sounds funny,but let me tell you something. Hotels at the beach (beaches that has forest or hills around) they use yellow bulbs. The bugs does not like them at all! But, you will see bugs where someone has a white bulb, the bugs are around.

Also, if you are on the beach keep your windows and doors closed or use a screen on it.

I never have found a bug on my bed. No where.

Am not really familiar with Victory, but for the most part have only heard good things about them.

You probably haven't seen it but on American Pickers (a show on the History Channel) on think was season 5, the first episode, but won't swear to that. Anyway on that episode they bought a 1935 Indian. Was pretty much just frame, tires, and engine. Was in rough shape, but they found all original parts for it, and had it rebuilt. Should of seen the finished product. Man I was drooling, that was a gorgeous bike.

Depends on where you look as with the US/Canada. Cimex lectularius is on every continent and country. Is she not coming if there are?
