Apartment, hotel, hostel, b& b long-term while looking for apartment?

Hi all
I'm arriving in Antalya October 15 and need an inexpensive, central place to stay while searching for an apartment. This could take some time and I don't want to eat up a lot of cash while I'm looking. Does anybody have any suggestions for me? I'm 50, on my own, female, wanting a basic but comfortable place in $50 US night or lower range. Is that even possible?!

Housing in Antalya appears to be a classified section, with hardly any listings, and I've as well searched hundreds of apartment sites online - which is the problem as I don't know up from down. I was looking for a more personal reference from someone on this site as to where they've stayed. After all, if everyone's an ex-pat, they must have stayed either with someone they knew or at a hotel/pension while they found a place!
