Moving from the US to HCM city this june.

Wanting to find out from people about suggestions on what to bring over either because it's unavailable or too expensive?

Any info would be much appreciated!

Hi!

How long do you plan on stay here (HCMC)?
Here is a list of things that I suggest are good to bring.
-Any technology such as a computer or ipod it will be very expensive and you won't know if it is real or not if you buy it here.
-If you like to sleep in comfort I would bring a mattress pad, very hard to find here.
-Sunblock they sell it here but it doesn't work as well. I have friends bring it for me when they come.
-Deodorant again they have it here but it's a different kind (rolly one).
- Medicine (anything you think you might need such as pepto)
- Good jeans, shorts, some light weight t-shirts. The jeans here the cut is a little weird.
- Shoes (Working, running, and so on) It's little more expensive here and they might not carry they one that you like. If you need gel soles get them before you come. I have looked all over for them and have yet to find it.

Because it is so hot most house and apartments do not have carpet in order to keep the place cooler.

Well that's all I can think of right now. If you need anymore help let me know and I'll be more than happy to. Have a nice day!

I've found that Eagle Brand Green Oil(from of all places Singapore) is much cheaper in the U.S. than in Vietnam.  Also, any used smart phones in reasonably good functional condition. Bad screens still OK.

Yes, we always take in at least two twelve packs to split up between the relatives. They claim the local green oil is a cheap knock-off.

Like a latex mattress pad? Phu My Hung, Sky Garden has a store for those. So no need for something so big!
