Hi Brian

I am teacher considering a teaching position.  Is living and working in Abu Dhabi something that me and my husband should seriously consider?  We live in Colorado.

life here is very diferent from our normal western style.my wife is a teacher but is not working here as she is home schooling my daughter.from what i know of wages for teachers here is that they are not very good.if you have kids education is very expensive here, and from what reports i have heard kids are spoilt here and teachers have parents influence on marks ect.if you decide to come over make sure that what ever contract you get looks after accomedation, transport and proper leave.indian labour is used a lot here and as their wages are normaly low and accomidation is poor they are cheap to employ.you will be competing for work.this country is not radical as other middle east countries and you as an ex pat have a resonable amount of freedom, but nothing like in the states.i hope this helps and good luck.if you have anymore questions please ask and i will try to honestly report back to you
