Hi, my husband and I are currently retired would like to move to France.  Will France tax our U.S. social security income and/or retirement account withdrawals, for example, Roth and IRA accounts?  We have modest amounts in those accounts and it would definitely affect our decision if France heavily taxes any of our current retirement income.  We have no plans to work in France.  Thanks so much!

I am researching tax issues as well. Did you get an answer?

@ Volcano88 > The OP didn't showed up since 2013 and you might not receive a response from him now.

So if you have some questions, please create a new thread on the France forum and ask all your questions clearly. The active members are more apt to help you.

Thank you

Hi - I also would be very  interested in anything that could affect my pension, I am currently drawing  a pension in the UK although still working. We are planning to move to France where my wife will work and I will continue to run my small consultancy business. Any advice would be welcome
