Hi everyone,

as you can notice, we've released a new version of the Expat.com. Of course we'll all need a few days to get used to it.

Why these changes ?

You can read the official announcement here :

https://www.expat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=327061

The main improvement is that Expat.com is now optimized for mobiles and tablets. Have you already tried browsing Expat.com on your mobile ?

Of course everything is not perfect, we've already identified issues on IE, we will release our fist fixes tomorrow, and will improve the website little by little. Should you notice any bug or issue, please do not hesitate to post on the "help us to improve the website" forum

The team and I hope you will little by little discover the improvements we've made and that you will appreciate them.

So far, what do you think about this new version ?

Sincerely yours,

Julien

The mobile version works well on Samsung note.

Me like, so far so good

I like the mobile option and layout more, but being not too clever most days find the list of new posts or comments in the forum confusing.

I normally get it after my 3rd cup of coffee or beer....but it is a great improvement overall.

Julien

Thanks everyone for sharing your first feelings with us

On the mobile version, areas have a drop down to select the country you want; perhaps that would tidy up the directory page on the desktop version.

Yes Julien, thats the one but I am getting used to it.

Also I struggled to find a quick way to update my blog posts from my profile. I really seem to not be concentrating hard enough. Please help!

Hi lukereg,

I'm Pierre from Expat.com technical team.

You're right, it's difficult to update your Blog posts from your profile.
You have to click on "Blog" in the timeline menu and after click on "Modify blog".
I will improve the process as soon as possible.

You also can update your post via the blog page :
