Visitors Visa to Hong Kong - Whats the deal?

Hi.

I am living in Beijing and visiting Hong Kong at the end of the month.
I am a student so have a residence permit for Mainland China - does anyone know the process of getting the visa to enter Hong Kong for a week?

Which country's passport do you hold?

Brits for example do not need a tourist visa to visit Hong Kong

I have a British passport!!

Oh really?? So I am able to visit with just my passport???
