Work visa question

Post new topic

Dave H

It would appear that many foreigners get their 'Z' visa through an agent, who may have helped them to find work in BJ. Is this really normality in BJ,or,as someone who wants to teach English,am I better applying directly to a school for the job and all the documentation?

It does seem that there are many short-cuts to be taken to get into work in BJ !

If you are being officially employed in China then your employer will organise the visa for you. He/she might use an agent to the legwork for them. Normally, as part of your package the employer will pay for your visa.

The Mr. Fixit visa agents often work in the grey area, are high-priced and (some, not all) are con artists.

as for the z/res permit. If you wanna pay taxes and have all the headaches removed from this process. go ahead and find a sponsor.

mind you, there is plenty of work that you can do on your own and if you lock into a contract you will be just that. An employee.

Make a difference....

Hello Dave H,

Indeed, many foreigners get their Z visa through an agency, here is a page you can consult and that indicates what papers are necessary to get your visa : Z Visa China - ins-globalconsulting.com/blog/content/work-visa-china.

Hoping this will help you.
