Visiting Thailande

I'm thinking about visiting thailande (Bangkok) next week, but i saw on the news that it's quiet turbulent at the moment.
Are the demonstration risky ?
Is it safe to come or should I change destination ?

they are becoming risky..but if u stay away from the protesting areas u should be ok........i got stuck in amongst them yesterday by pure accident and was told by many to leave the area immediatly....so I did. I cannot see an end to this mess yet...
