My iqama expires 19th April 2014. If i want to leave in February can i apply for 2 months exit re-entry or do i need to renew my iqama?

Apply for exit re-entry normally (as you would do in any other situation). You will have to strictly follow two dates:
1. Exit before
2. Enter before
As your iqama expiry is near, my guess is your "Enter before" date in the visa you will get, would be the same date as your iqama expiry. The "Exit before" date would be a little earlier.
So no need to renew the iqama before leaving the kingdom. Just make sure you arrive well before your iqama expiry date so that you can easily apply for iqama renewal, once you are back.

Thank you Maximus I was thinking I had to have it renewed before even thinking of ERE.
Can you please share your views about my other question as well?

Sorry, I don't have any experience or knowledge in that area. My suggestion would be to just go to jawazat yourself instead of finding any agent. Ask around, and you might be able to get your process done.
