Hi. want to know the laws for British who are living in Malaysia. As i understand it is ok for non-muslim couples to live together unmarried. is this still true? or is it frowned upon? how about laws for women drivers? how about general covering of skin for respect? how strict are they?

Thanks

Nemodot

Well the law is forum posters asking questions that imply Malaysia is Saudia Arabia are flogged a 100 lashes while being forced to listen to Justin Beiber songs ;)

The latter is indeed a cruel and inhuman punishment lah!

Living together unmarried is considered bad but if you don't flaunt it ok. Shoulders should be covered generally in the work place and nothing over sexy in general. Apart from that socially you can wear what you like. Women drivers in myvis are not allowed to use their indicators or mirrors when changing lanes. Well seems like it.....

yeap, just like nemo said, don't flaunt it. I don't the neighbors will really care as long as you don't make any trouble ie:

-loud music and late night parties in the premises
-noisy barking dogs
-occasionally call girls coming in and out

if you wanna walk around naked in your house, please close the curtain
