Post new topic

Does anyone know where I can buy POWDERED coconut milk in HU?

It's useful for putting in curries.

Hi, yes there is a shop on Pozsonyi Utca called 'Paleo Kamra' they do all sorts of things for carb free and Paleo diets including dried coconut milk. Hope this helps.

Yes, it does help.  Thanks for the info.  I'll see if I can get some.  I'm currently sourcing mine in the UK. They sell it in Tescos in some places - made by Maggi and imported from Sri Lanka.  Exotic stuff.

Ooooh sounds very exotic. Have you checked Szep Kis India..it's on Wesselenyi I think. They have loads of stuff.

I know you asked for the POWDERED (sic) version, and I sadly can't help in that specific way.

But.... to any others who stumble across this post: if the goal is coconut milk or cream, you can make that yourself by soaking grated coconut (which is kókuszreszelék and fairly easy to find in Hungary) in hot water:

or

(And home made is the best way to do it in my opinion, makes for great curries -- also for those out there that are vegan this is the only way to do it as many powders have animal proteins added).
