The other side of the Kenyan postcard

Post new topic

Hi,

As a tourist in a foreign country, very often, we are enchanted with what we discover.

Living abroad is different. It's a rich experience but there are also some difficulties to face.

When people ask me for advice on living abroad, I then tend to say that one should also look at both sides of the postcard.

As an expat in Kenya, how would you describe the two sides of your Kenyan postcard?

Thank you for sharing your experience,

Julien

Hi Julien,

Firstly congratulations on starting this very useful tool for networking and more importantly helpful for sharing great content!
Come from Kenya but was an expat in UK till last year.

One side of the postcard: Loved the multicultural life in London, highly organised infrastructure and the controversial Monarchy:-)
The other side: British weather arrghh! wet and cold most of the year, Missed smiley and friendly faces everywhere as was used to in Kenya! With hard work easy to live a fairly good lifestyle.

Hope that helps to keep conversations going...though brief, hope it helps in some small way.

Kind regards,
Rose
