Move to Hoi an

Post new topic

Hi my wife and I have been running our own guest house and tours in Vinh City when we are not back in Australia. We are sick of the cold. (Same climate as Sydney but reverse seasons. We want to be warm all year round.

We know Vietnam very well.  We have riden the HCM trail from north to
South and visited many places in Vietnam over many years.
We are considering moving to Hoi an. My wife is Vietnamise/Australian and I'm Australian
We will be in Hoi an on 23 March for a week.

We would be interested in looking at suitable properties for a guest house to buy (if not to expensive) or rent.
WE welcome any suggestions

Pete

Is there a NSW Justice of the peace in Hoi An who can witness my signature for some documents I need to send to Australia.

Not so far as I know; there are Vietnamese notaries however.  Personally I have always gone to the Australian consulate in HCMC for statutory declarations, etc.  A real pain...

You could inquire with Gordon at Dingo Deli on Cua Dai St.; he seems to know many of the Australians in town.

Thanks off to HCM in the morning,

I know Gordon but I have to get it done ASAP
