Finding an Internet Service Provider in Taipei

My son has been living in Taipei for more than two years and just recently moved into a new apartment that is closer to his place of business. However, he is now having a very difficult time finding a new Internet Service Provider for the area of Taipei that he is presently residing in. According to my son, the Internet Service Providers who cover the area of Taipei where he is now living have all refused to provide him with Internet access because he only has five months left on his Taiwanese Work Permit until it expires. Therefore, I would greatly appreciate any advice on how to deal with this problem. Thanks!

Hello!
It's best to have a local person put it under their name or a friend whose Arc doesn't expire in 5 months.
have you son simply ask a friend, I have done this before and it's never been an issue.
Chunghwa Telecom is the main provider for internet and they are very understanding about all this.
