I'm down with some grooving in Beijing. Chinese are a bit boring after work and generally just go home or to bloody KTV, lame.

Dr Acular

whats ktv?
i know there a bore.
where are u in beijing???

Sasa Yan

i suppose both of u have not realize the joy of living in Beijing.Open you heart and make friends.Hang out with your Chinese friends and have fun~

Dr Acular

ah whatever, ive been in beijing for ages and i " realize the joy"
i do hang out wit my chinese friends, there just a bore!

The joy of living in Beijing? Hmm, well I'm not actually in Beijing, in Langfang which takes about 30 minutes on the train. OK, I'll hang out with my Chinese friends...oh wait, there's none here. Only 1 teacher here who speaks English, who is pretty cool but never seems to have spare time.

Was living in Dong Guan and the teachers sucked there. Moved to Chongqing and dear God, they seemed confused that I would talk to them when I didn't want anything. They say "What do you want?" I say "Nothing, just saying hi", they say "Oh..hi." Then just leave.

KTV is karaoke. They LOVE it so much, I tried it once and it was kinda lame. They can't get enough of crap love songs. I haven't visited Beijing yet, but I'm dying to check out some sweet hangouts.

Sasa Yan

...seems like you both are tired of living in Beijing..
ok ,what do you usually do after work?

Sasa Yan

For me,langfang is really not a good place to stay,so it is no surprise you feel boring there.i have been to chongqing in 2008,its famous hotpot is very tasty, but i do not like the cityscape .
guys ,do not be frustrated, just try sth funny~~

After work I plot revenge against the authorities in Dong Guan, who said i had to leave cos the school didn't have the proper license to employ foreigners, right when i was having a ball in a great school with 3 other foreigners, but i'm not bitter or anything.

My time is short in China so I wanna hang with other foreigners, so i can talk with my normal accent and not reallllllly slowly.

Sasa Yan

maybe you can find another school which have proper license.
i believe the fun of teaching in a foreign country depends largely on experiencing the culture and interecting with local residents.if you love to taik fluently just like in your country, why do u stay in China? So get used to the customs and lifestyles here,be happy.
