Denizkizi

Hi everyone,

In August I will be moving to Kuwait from the US. I need some information about how I can ship my stuff to Kuwait. Does anyone know any companies or shipping places that I can get help?

Take care,

Regards,

Deniz

AmericanArabGirl

hi there, im actually moving to kuwait too, im gonna shipp my stuff next week, i found this shipping company that shipps for cheap but its in chicago..i think its called crown shipping

where are u from? im moving there july

Moo

I think there are american shipping companies which ship to all over the world.Try to check the shipping companies in ur state .

Denizkizi

@AmericanArabGirl: Thank you for your suggestion, but I am currently living in Philadelphia, so maybe Chicago wouldn't work for me, but I will try it anyways.By the way I am from Turkey and  so excited to move Kuwait. :) Are you originally from Kuwait?

@Moo: Thank you so much!

One word of advice.... or atleast a $$$ saver... try to ship as much of your stuff as you can by ship... you would have to send it about 6 weeks in advance (if you want it to arrive around the same time as you), so its a bit of a pain, but it is much much cheaper.... I did that when I was returning home from Korea, and it made a huge difference in price...  I just did it through the local post office... I assume you can do that through American post... though I may be mistaken....

AmericanArabGirl

hiii.. no im not originallly from there, im mixed arab/ american.. really? ur excited to move there? im kinda scared im still packin my stuff.. also i cant speak arabic, i understand little ...
we should deff meet up there

Denizkizi

@AmericanArab girl: I am also scared when I think about some specific issues, but I am trying to keep myself positive! That is the only way to enjoy life I guess. I will be there early September. What about you?

NicoleB

No need to be scared.
Just be careful with some taxi drivers. Stay in the back of the taxis and try not to be too friendly with them. Try to avoid giving phone numbers.
I didn't have many issues, but a few times some people got too friendly, but that can happen anywhere.

As for all else. Kuwait is a place like any other to live. You'll find your way around easy (it's not that big after all ;) )

AmericanArabGirl

Denizkizi, i just arrived yesterday
i mean i guess the living its not that bad
but u cant compare it to the US
i dont know.. but im counting days to go back home (december!!)lol
i guess its too early for me to judgee
but im kinda homesick
and omgg! guyss i need sodium free water
where to get it?
the bottle says sodium free but in the back it says like 10% sodium
ahhh!!

Yousef

Hi there,

Im not really sure about the shipping in the US, but if u need any help in how to receive it here in Kuwait let me know.

Also AmericanArabGirl: the sodium free water you can find in Sultan Center, you can probably do most of your specialised shopping there they have all the good stuff ( located in Salmiya - Salim Al Mubarak Street ) is the branch i recommend.

Like NicolB mentioned, get in the back seat of the Taxis and dont really get friendly with em ... you can find a taxi anywhere and they are cheap ..

Im actually originally from Kuwait, and my mom is british and we have been living here for over 15 years now ...

So anyone that has any questions or issues lemme know and id be more then happy to help out ..
