No qualifications, but plenty experience

Post new topic

Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum and apologize if this has been discussed before.

I am a South African male without any official post grad qualifications, but have plenty experience in Sales, Customer Service, Construction, Landscaping and Event Management. Due to the qualification issue I am struggling to acquire a visa for Thailand, but can obviously go for 3 months on holiday. Apparently this is the best way to get across and then find a job while i am there in person. Has anyone else tried this and can you give me any advise?

I know most go across and teach English, but I would be more comfortable working in a resort or hotel.

I look forward to any responses, positive or negative. Thanks.

Hi there

I am also looking to go into the hospitality industry, initially will have to go and teach. I have been sending out my Cv tho, with my starting date.
I am flying up 14 June, no job yet but hopefully will get one quickly.
When are you planning on going?

PS, if anyone knows of any placement agencies specialising in hotel industry please let me know.
