Hello
my name is Lucy Linhares, I'm an anthropologist working at the intercultural field and I'd like to know if the Women's Club in Macae still exists. Any information or contact about expat's communities in Macaewould be very useful! Thank you!

James

Hi Lucy,

On behalf of everybody at Expat-blog, welcome on board. I hope your participation will be both enjoyable and informative.

I don't know if the Macaé Woman's Club is still in operation, but I will check and get back to you on this thread.

There is a large expat community in the city as you would imagine, being Brazil's petroleum capital. I'm sure you will make lots of new friends here.

Cheers,

Hi there. I am from Venezuela and just found this site, and wanted to subscribe because we are moving to Macae around August.  I would love to know about internet groups to meet some people living there.  We are still in Italy, where we have lived the past two years and can't wait to arrive to Macae.  We went there for a week a couple of weeks ago, to know the city and arrange everything for my kids's schools and I really liked it.  We are a family of 4, my husband, my 2 kids (4 and 5 years old) and me.

Hope to meet you all soon ;)

Hi William thank you very much for your help, I appreciate it!
So far... We have things kind of done... The relocation company have been very useful! We cannot look for a house yet until we have an estimated date of when our things will be delivered.  But we do need to know which are the best areas to live. My kids will go to the American school... So, it can't  be far away from it. And very important, if you or someone knows about someone living Macae and is selling a car, we would love to know.
Again, thank you for all your help... ;)
Kayleni.

The American School is located very near the Lagoa de Imboassica so I would suggest looking for a place in Imbetiba, Cavaleiros or Vivendas da Lagoa, they are all up-scale neighborhoods.
