No it's not. I bought my good dining table with 4 dining  chairs for 1500 dirhams from a reputable shop in El Jadida. I hadn't been so foolish as to go in and ask for prices myself, but had sent a respectable-looking and trusted Moroccan friend to ask for prices of the type of items I was looking for. The prices averaged out at about 1400 dirhams (wood veneer or glass top) and I chose the 1500 dirhams one as I liked it. The table on offer is certainly bigger than mine and has 6 chairs and is 4 months old, so I guess 2000 to 2200 dirhams new. 1200 dirhams for excellent condition sounds reasonable.

As always, caveat emptor, but this would be worth a look.
