Recommended Expat Compounds in Guangzhou?

Post new topic

guinness

It is looking likely that my family and I will need to move to Guangzhou later in the year, and I would like to ask if anyone can suggest suitable apartments/villas in or around the Tianhe district where my office is located.

I've got 2 girls under 5 years old, so preferably a child friendly compound with playgrounds, pool etc.

Probably looking around the RMB20-40k p/m budget.

We've lived in Shanghai for the last 18 months, so it won't be too much of a culture shock, although I've yet to hear any nice things said about Guangzhou from the people I've spoken to in Shanghai...

Any tips, assistance is greatly appreciated.

as i know... so many good apartments in Tianhe, RMB20-40K is too much... generally RMB2-4k per month.

thanks, but I have a 'use it or lose it' style housing budget, so wanted to get an idea of ideal compounds for families around this budget.

'use it or lose it' ? your boss is so generous, haha...
well, I have a friend who are working for Yihe Villas, a luxury villas living zone and not far from Tianhe. The rent is about RMB10k per month (not sure, you can negotiate) for independent house (2-3 floors) with pool, garden, public school/kindergarten. If you are interested, I can help to contact. I'm not a house agent. The rest budget would be your taxi fee to/back from your office.

Hi Guinness,

Have you found the compounds you are looking for?
We have a toddler with us and will be moving to GZ in 2 months, so we are looking for similar requirements for apartment/ housing.

have you found any apartment yet?
