Hi there!
We are are staying in D.2.
I'd like to rent a Vespa auto scooter and learn at the same time.
Any suggestions?

Thanks

Does it have to be a Vespa?  A new Vespa is typically more expensive than comparable Asian brands, so you don't find them for rent very often.  You can find older (classic) Vespas for rent, but they aren't automatic.

You should have no trouble finding an automatic bike to rent if you ask around in your neighborhood.  Most hotels offer scooter rental as well, so you could ask them.  If you can't find anybody, you could try this place:

If you've never ridden before, HCMC is a very difficult place to learn.  If I had never ridden before, I'd head down to Vung Tau and rent a scooter there and practice.  Once you're back in HCM, riding during the day, especially early morning and late afternoon is very intimidating.  My favorite time to ride is at night, 9 or 10 pm, when it's cooler and the traffic has died down.  Just keep moving and don't get lost. :)

Hi Dan,
Thanks for your reply!
Yes, I really love to learn, rent and purchase later when I gain confidence. (I will never had a chance in singapore for such fun, we need to enrol safety lessons for months, passed it, until then you get on to practical lesson in the circuit, if failed it will take more time & money) all
In is about 8 to 1 year depending on how confident one is.
I tend to like vaspa, is a woman thing! But open to other brand as well.
You are so right about the traffic is scary I m not sure I can survive in D1 & 3. But in D2 I'm motivated to do so. I past by a Saigon scooter shop run by a Brit. So I guess that's the one I should approach.
Have a good Sunday!
Cheers!
