Good and bad in Mosta?

Just moved to Mosta yesterday (before lived in San Gwann), so I will still experience more points.
What I can say so far:

Goods:
- it looks like everything is available that you need for the average day:
   - bigger supermarkets (scotts, more)
   - smaller shops that also open on sundays
   - a street with shops to buy clothes or shoes and that stuff
   - a pub to watch the world cup and drink beer

Bads:
   - if you work in St. Julians, the road is very busy in the morning and in the afternoon (of course depending on your working times)
   - obviously not THAT close to a beach (I mean not in food-distance)

I can probably tell you more after some weeks, but the first impression is good.

Linda & I will be moving there in July/August onwards and soon to take up a 6 month rental property.

We have chosen Mosta as it is central for most, quite vibrant but also has quiet roads and the facilities seem to be good too. We have 2 welsh collie dogs and we will be making good use of dog park: http://pelhamdogtraining.com

Then to use this time to hopefully look at a permanent place if everything goes ok.

We are at this time choosing a place and then when I have a few that we are interest in will hop on a plane, view, sign a contract and come home to pack etc. One the issue I have come across is that they will not tell me of the property address so I cannot really appreciate the distances (walking/driving) between the property and the High St, bus stops, parks etc and more importantly what type of neighbourhood it really is as not on the ground and hence my questions.

As mentioned on here on several occasions it is a waste of time looking on line
at agents sites as none of the properties will be available, it is best to
wait until your visit as they prefer to deal with people over here.

Hi Matt,
You are welcome. I find this an excellent site run by the same too. Apparently there are 3 parks and 2 are government run but this one allows 'off the lead' walk/runs etc and as you know collies have to run. We are hoping to be there soon too.
